Around the Campfire

Every camping season comes to an end, but a few minutes of maintenance
before storing your griddle will make next spring much easier.

After Every Cook

  • Scrape the cooking surface.
  • Wipe away moisture.
  • Apply a thin coat of oil.
  • Empty the grease cup.
  • Store once completely cool.

Monthly

  • Inspect burner ports.
  • Check propane connections.
  • Tighten loose hardware.
  • Inspect the cooking surface for rust.

End of the Season

  • Deep clean if necessary.
  • Apply a fresh seasoning coat.
  • Store in a dry location with a cover.

Dragonfly Tip

Five minutes of maintenance after each trip is easier than restoring a
neglected griddle.
