Around the Campfire
Every camping season comes to an end, but a few minutes of maintenance
before storing your griddle will make next spring much easier.
After Every Cook
- Scrape the cooking surface.
- Wipe away moisture.
- Apply a thin coat of oil.
- Empty the grease cup.
- Store once completely cool.
Monthly
- Inspect burner ports.
- Check propane connections.
- Tighten loose hardware.
- Inspect the cooking surface for rust.
End of the Season
- Deep clean if necessary.
- Apply a fresh seasoning coat.
- Store in a dry location with a cover.
Dragonfly Tip
Five minutes of maintenance after each trip is easier than restoring a
neglected griddle.
