Why Plan Breakfast?
Breakfast sets the pace for the day. A simple plan helps everyone eat
before the day's adventure begins.
The Night Before
- Lay out cooking tools.
- Verify propane.
- Move breakfast ingredients to the top of the cooler.
- Mix dry pancake ingredients (or portion the mix).
- Crack eggs into a sealed container.
- Pre-cook bacon if you're feeding a large group.
Cook in This Order
- Preheat the griddle.
- Cook bacon first, then move it to the warm zone.
- Cook hash browns in the bacon fat.
- Start pancakes on the medium zone.
- Scramble eggs last so they reach the table hot.
Dragonfly Tip
Breakfast is easier when every ingredient is ready before the griddle is
hot --- and eggs cook fast, so make them the final item.
